Updates and Progression

These are the latest updates and progression of Catch Up.

  • Now possible to have multiple subscriptions.
    It is now possible to have multiple subscriptions. This allows users to have different plans and different workspaces.


  • Custom AI instructions
    Users can now provide inline custom instructions to the AI to change the way it summarizes the messages. This is a great way to customize the summary to your own needs.


  • Added file summaries
    Users can now summarize files by using @Catch Up. This can be enabled on workspace level or user level. This is a great way to get a quick overview of the file and its content.


  • Fully reworked the bot logic
    Users can now simply interact with the bot by mentioning it in chats. This includes the ability to summarize specific channels by using @Catch Up. It also allows users to summarize threads and configure user-specific settings that are different from the whole workspace. Watch video demo


  • Workspace re-install and private conversation summaries
    Users can now re-install the app to current or new workspace and get summaries from private conversations. Watch direct message example


  • Added 30 day free trial
    Added a 30 day free trial to the project. This allows users to try the project for free for 30 days. This is a great way to test the project before committing to a paid plan.


  • Upgraded summary prompt
    This time improving the system prompt to process the information in a better way. This includes more clear instructions of what to do with the information.


  • Updated summary prompt
    The summary prompt was updated to be more accurate and helpful. It now includes who send what message to gain better context of the most important messages.


  • Changed slash commands
    The slash commands were changed to be more user friendly. This includes the "catchup-" prefix to the commands to make it easier to remember.


  • Added dashboard
    This update includes a dashboard for the user to see their usage and Slack connection information.


  • Fully working Stripe subscription
    This includes fully working payments with Stripe. Users can now make payments using their credit card or bank account.


  • Added capability to use other AI models
    Added more AI models to the project. This includes GPT-4o, GPT-4o-mini, GPT-3.5-turbo and GPT-3.5-turbo-mini.


  • Fully working version
    Just after 3 days of development, the project was fully working. This included the frontend, backend and the full AI setup.


  • First commit
    This was the first commit of the whole project to the frontend and the backend. This marked the start of Catch Up.
